Geostock set up in Mexico in 2015, via its subsidiary Geostock de Mexico, as part of the Shalapa project. Geostock initially provided engineering services and project management assistance for the construction of a strategic underground storage of LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) in a salt cavern on behalf of the Mexican company Cydsa. Once the construction work was completed, the site was commissioned in November 2017. Since then, Geostock de Mexico has been operating it, employing 47 people on site.
At the end of 2021, the Shalapa site was awarded the “Four years without accidents” prize, as well as the “Best Environmental Project” prize for the creation of a greenhouse allowing the production of plants for the reforestation of neighboring communities.
Congratulations for this great initiative!
